These are the programme of Regular Meetings and Public Outdoor Events which form the main
features of our Society activities. The Public Events are listed below the list of the Regular Meetings. Links to previous year's events are at the bottom of the page.
Our Regular Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of the month in the Allendale Community Centre , Hanham Road, Wimborne.
Regular meetings start at 7:30pm with Society Announcements followed by the Introduction of the main Speaker. An interval of about 20 minutes is scheduled for 9:00pm for refreshments and informal chat The balance of the meeting up to its close at 10:00pm may include The Sky this Month, Object of the Month and short contributions by members.

Public Astronomy Events are held at Durlston Country Park, Swanage , commencing at the times shown with an illustrated talk followed by observation through telescopes. Phone 01929 427965 after 4pm on the day to check if weather doubtful or go to www.wessex-astro.org.uk/durlston . The subsequent evening will sometimes be available as backup.
