The Durlston Astronomy Centre

Durlston Country Park is located just south of Swanage in Dorset. The Astronomy Centre consists of a telescope housed in its own observatory dome, together with supporting facilities for talks and lectures in the close-by Learning Centre. It is supported by the Ranger staff at the Country Park and by members of the Wessex Astronomical Society. To get to Durlston - Proceed to Swanage town centre and follow the brown Leisure signs.

The next Public Astronomy Event at Durlston will be on Friday 17th February 2012. (click here for poster to download)

The event will commence at 7.30pm with an illustrated talk then telescope views of the Venus, Jupiter, Orion Nebula, Star Clusters and Winter Constellations .
