Durlston Country Park is located just south of Swanage in Dorset (see bottom of page for how to get there). The Astronomy Centre consists of a telescope housed in its own observatory dome, together with supporting facilities for talks and lectures in the close-by Visitor Centre. It is supported by the Ranger staff at the Country Park and by members of the Wessex Astronomical Society.

The event will commence at 8.30pm with an illustrated talk then opportunity to see Perseid meteors (shooting stars) and telescope views of objects in the Milky Way and the summer constellations.
