This new image of the Whirlpool Galaxy, M51 in Canes Venatici is a great improvement on the early effort last year.
Imaged using the LX200R 14" telescope with the Starlight Xpress SXV H16 CCD camera. Exposure was 14 minutes for the Luminance and 6 minutes each for the R, G and B
